Echoes of Nature: Light, Form, and Verse – A Photography Exhibit by Jeff Kubick

Exploring Nature’s Subtle Echoes Through Light and Lens

I’m thrilled to invite you to my new photography exhibit, Echoes of Nature: Light, Form, and Verse, at Sibley Hall in the Groton Public Library. You’ll be able to explore this collection from April 30, 2025, to June 28, 2025, and I’d love for you to stop by.

Want the full experience? Join me on May 10, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM for the opening reception, where I’ll be sharing the stories behind the images (exact time for the talk to be announced).

A Different Way of Seeing Nature

For me, photography isn’t just about capturing what’s in front of the lens—it’s about noticing the subtleties, the patterns, and the way light interacts with the world. In this exhibit, I explore how nature echoes itself in unexpected ways. You’ll find images shaped by reflection, abstraction, and impressionism—where water distorts reality, light transforms textures, and intentional camera movement turns landscapes into fluid ribbons of color.

Beyond the visuals, I’ve woven in carefully selected verses from poets and thinkers like Mary Oliver, Wendell Berry, and Henry David Thoreau. Their words speak to the same quiet beauty that I try to capture with my camera, adding another layer of depth to the experience.

A Local Connection

Many of the photographs in this exhibit were taken in Groton and the surrounding areas, letting you see something local and familiar from a different perspective. Whether you’re into photography, art, or simply enjoy nature, I hope this exhibit gives you a moment to pause, reflect, and see the world a little differently.

Join Me for the Opening Reception

I’d love to see you at the reception on May 10! It’ll be a great chance to connect, chat about the images, and share insights about the creative process. If you can’t make it, no worries—just stop by the library whenever you get a chance.

Stop By and Take a Look

The exhibit is free and open to the public during library hours, so come by Sibley Hall and see Echoes of Nature: Light, Form, and Verse for yourself. If you want to keep up with my work, join my email list or follow Jeff Kubick Photography on Facebook or Instagram—I’d love to stay connected.
